Getting Here If you are travelling by car from any direction, follow the signs to the city centre. If you are coming from the west, you will arrive in Princes Street with gardens and Castle on its south side. From there, the map will guide you to Castle Street, which is at the West end of Princes Street. From the west, you must approach Castle Street via South Charlotte Street, follow the main "drag" of traffic turning right onto Queen Street; take the first right onto North Castle Street. Drive up North Castle Street when you will come to George Street at the top. Please park on George Street or North Castle Street as Castle Street is a "no–through" road and is soon to be totally pedestrian. Castle Street is a no through road from Princes Street. From East / North or South, please drive down onto Queen Street and again approach Castle Street from North Castle Street. Cars cannot travel in either direction along the length of Princes Street any more. Apologies - but Edinburgh city centre is very "car unfriendly". There are no through roads; one way traffic management and roads where cars cannot travel at all.       If you are arriving by plane, Edinburgh Airport is only seven miles west of the centre of the city. Car hire is available at the airport to serve all scheduled flights. The journey time to the town centre is around twenty minutes, although commuter traffic may increase this slightly between eight and ten in the mornings and four and six in the evenings. The airport bus is very good - the service is frequent and leaves from just outside arrivals hall. Please alight at the Mound and walk back 1 block to Castle Street. We are on the left as you walk up Castle Street - less than 100 yards. If you are arriving by train, Waverley Station is shown on the map. A short taxi ride will take you to Castle Street, although you may prefer to walk the 5–10 minute distance. Walk up onto Princes Street, then left towards Edinburgh Castle, and we are the 4th street on the right facing Edinburgh Castle. If you are arriving by bus, St Andrew Square is also shown on the map and is no more than a five minute walk from Castle Street along George Street.
